Summer Reading Club — interview with Brendan Ritchie

Beyond Carousel 19.01.2017

You can read an interview with Brendan over on the Summer Reading Club’s (awesome) website.

“I like everyday heroes like Ellie in Tomorrow, When the War Began and Ponyboy in The Outsiders. Characters who are just regular people forced to deal with really intense scenarios. I think that overcoming these things – without superpowers or anything like that – is heroic and inspiring.”

Summer Reading Club is delivered online and in participating libraries for children and young adults. The program is led by the State Library of Queensland, in partnership with the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA), the Australian Public Library Alliance (APLA) and other state and public libraries across Australia. ?
